Asti will host the first edition of the Italian Team Plogging Championship on Sunday, June 23. Specifically, it means the practice of picking up abandoned waste found in one’s path while engaged in jogging, running or other sports activities.
A virtuous and sustainable idea that originated from Roberto Cavallo, the soul of E.R.I.C.A. SOC.COOP. and A.I.C.A – International Association for Environmental Communication and Erik Ahlström, the father of the name.
As in 2023, Vietti chooses to support and endorse the initiative again this year. But that’s not all. To run the championship, a winery team will also be present with the goal of cleaning the Earth while running. An action apt to ensure and preserve the future to the next generation.
Indeed, care, but above all sustainability, which is one of the souls that distinguishes the Vietti brand, is not limited to the care of the vine that we apply every day but to respect for the Earth we inhabit, our home.
The day on Sunday, June 23, will feature twenty teams from all over Italy, composed of four ploggers and two reserves, according to the principles of gender parity. The winner will then be able to take part in the World Team Plogging Championship scheduled for September 28 in Gandino, in the province of Bergamo.
